Gaston, has a 10 year old cousin named Sebastian. Turns out, at 10 years old, he’s already a member of our club. The club you and I are in too. You know, the big hearted, strong desire to change the world club! On his own, he set up a neighborhood run and raised $800 dollars for an organization serving children in need. As you can see, he already has a great heart, but this story doesn’t stop there.
He wanted to hear all about No One Without and what we do, so Gaston sat down and explained in detail what each of our partners does. When he got to The Chisomo Idea, Sebastian’s eyes lit up when he heard about the soccer academy’s scholar athlete program. He immediately, with no hesitation, exclaimed “I want to help!.” We contacted Noel at The Chisomo Idea who was so honored he made a video to thank him. And now it has all come full circle with our child profile and the student Sebastian’s gift supported.
That beautiful smile there belongs to James Alli. He is 12 years old and is a member of the Grassroots Soccer Academy in Chinsapo, Malawi. They tell us that he is one of the best young athletes in the program. So much so, that they have all nicknamed his Messi, after the top world player Lionel Messi. Lionel, known as Leo, is from Argentina just like Gaston and his family! So you can see, this sponsorship is very special for us. Even if our Director of Operations isn’t a big Barcelona fan! Jokes, she has jokes!
This story is so awesome and reminds us once again that young people will be the ones to change our world. Giving comes so naturally to them and they do it with an open heart. As a company, and as individuals, we are so passionate about nurturing the young people of the world around us. They will carry our torch standing tall and we love to pass it on!
